The 2025 Jining City “Skills Champion” Vocational Skills Competition—incorporating the “Shuibo Intelligent Cup” Citywide Industrial Robotics Vocational Skills Contest—concluded successfully.
Recently, the 2025 Jining City “Skills Champion” Vocational Skills Competition—specifically the “Shuibo Intelligent Cup” Citywide Industrial Robotics Skills Contest—concluded successfully in Liangshan County.
This competition served as a platform for skilled professionals in the city’s industrial robotics sector to showcase their expertise, exchange knowledge, and engage in mutual learning, holding significant importance for the advancement of Jining’s intelligent manufacturing industry.
This competition is hosted by the Jining Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security, the Jining Federation of Trade Unions, and the People’s Government of Liangshan County. It is organized by the Liangshan County Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security, the Liangshan County Federation of Trade Unions, and other entities, with Shandong Shuibo Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd. and other organizations serving as co-organizers. The competition is themed “Intelligent Manufacturing: Digitally Creating the Future” and is divided into two categories: an Employee Group and a Student Group. The Employee Group’s competition events include Robot Operation & Welding and Benchwork, while the Student Group’s event focuses on Robot Operation & Welding.
The competition tasks are designed in strict accordance with national occupational skill standards and industry benchmarks, meeting requirements equivalent to or exceeding those of a Senior Technician. Furthermore, by drawing upon the standards and technical specifications of national-level skills competitions, the curriculum has been appropriately enhanced to incorporate content regarding new technologies and skills. The competition consists of two stages: preliminary rounds and a final round. The preliminary rounds are organized and conducted independently by each respective county, city, or district. The final round is scheduled to take place from September 25 to 26 at Shandong Shuibo Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd., utilizing a practical skills operation format where participants perform tasks on-site and are evaluated and scored in real-time.
A multitude of skilled experts and vocational students from across the city gathered together to engage in fierce competition. On the competition floor, relying on their solid professional knowledge, exquisite operational skills, and strong mental fortitude, the contestants went all out to tackle every task, fully demonstrating their exceptional mastery and innovative capabilities in the field of industrial robotics.
Following a tense and fierce competition, the various awards have been distributed among the winners. For the finals, each competition category featured one First Prize, two Second Prizes, three Third Prizes, and several Honorable Mentions; the total number of award recipients did not exceed 50% of the participating contestants. Specifically, First Prize winners received a cash award of 2,000 yuan, Second Prize winners received 1,000 yuan, and Third Prize winners received 500 yuan. Furthermore, contestants who placed in the top three in their respective competition categories are eligible to be recommended—provided they meet the necessary criteria—for the 2025 “Jining City Technical Expert” title. Additionally, contestants who satisfy the relevant prerequisites may be recommended for an upgrade in their professional skill level in accordance with applicable regulations.
The successful conclusion of this competition has not only identified a cohort of outstanding skilled professionals for Jining City’s industrial robotics sector but has also injected fresh vitality into the development of the city’s intelligent manufacturing industry. By leveraging the competition to foster learning, training, evaluation, and capacity building, the event has further ignited the enthusiasm of industry practitioners to acquire and enhance their skills, thereby cultivating a positive social atmosphere that respects labor and values technical proficiency. Moving forward, Jining City will continue to harness the guiding role of vocational skills competitions to continuously improve the quality of talent cultivation, thereby providing robust human resource support for the city’s industrial upgrading and high-quality socio-economic development.
